About Brent Ho.
Brent Ho Ming Xiu, publishing as Brent Notes.
I work with AI to develop writing and tools for thinking through a problem. Often the starting point is a small objection: a distinction that disappeared in a summary, an explanation that sounds complete too early, or a choice whose alternatives have already been narrowed.
I follow those observations into conversations, research and drafts. The next step is to make something I can use and examine: an essay, a worked example, an instruction that changes a later run, or a tool with a specific job.
Writing is where much of this work currently happens. Prose Trainer lets me inspect patterns in a draft. My writing workflow carries sources, decisions and revisions between sessions. The essays explore what AI changes about learning and judgment; the cases show where the workflow holds up and where it needs correction.
I'm also interested in expertise that people use every day but find difficult to explain. A founder may know that a recommendation is wrong before they can name the cue that changed their mind. I want to understand how AI-assisted conversation, concrete examples and attempted reuse can make some of that judgment available to others.
